A group of five Fourth Year medical students from the Pacific Adventist University have gone out of their own way to build a veranda for the out-patient building at Togoba Health Centre in Western Highlands Province.
Due to funding constraints to maintain the health centre and limited space inside the clinic, patients always seek shelter under trees during wet and dry periods, while waiting for their names to be called.
The five students were doing their practical at Togoba health center when they found out about the plight.
They contributed more than K1000 and completed the verenda, as well as building benches for patients to sit down.
