Tuberculosis remains one of Papua New Guinea’s leading killer diseases despite being 100% curable. The country also has one of the highest prevalence rates in the Pacific Region.
In response to that the national government has introduced its National TB Program (NTP). This is carried out through the National Health Department working in collaboration with implementers such as NGO’s and provincial governments.
