New Zealand Maori men's team stormed on to a 7-2 win over PNG in the Pacific Hockey Cup played in Fiji.

The Kiwi's lead with a 4-0 score in the first half.

However PNG's Raymond Popal and Sapau Tapo fought back during the second half of the match scoring two goals for team PNG.

But the Maori's proved too strong scoring 3 more goals coming out victorious.

PNG men's coach Thomas Kahai said despite the loss, getting on the score sheet against the highly-fancied Kiwi's had given them confidence for the next day's play against Samoa.
