NEW EARTH MOVING MACHINERY’S BOUGHT FOR ROAD PROJECT IN WAPENAMANDA DISTRICT

The Wapenamanda District Development Authority (WDDA) is committed to ensure the Wapenamanda-Lower Lai Road Project is thoroughly upgraded and eventually sealed.

South Pacific Construction Limited, the civil works and construction company engaged by the WDDA has brought in three earth moving machines to accelerate the construction, upgrade and eventual sealing of this major road project. Local MP and Vice Minister for Works and Highways Hon.Miki Kaeok is confident that sealing will take place starting next year moving forward.

Vice Minister Kaeok mentioned that the Wapenamanda- Lower Lai Road Project will eventually connect Baiyer in the Western Province furthering into Madang Province under the National Government’s CONNECT PNG ROAD PROGRAM.
Two graders and an excavator have been procured by the local contractor and will be brought into Wapenamanda from Lae in the coming days.
