Prominent lawyer and Principal of Young and Willams Lawyers Greg Sheppherd spoke to the media today about the Australian SBS Dateline show.
Mr. Shepherd says he was recorded without his consent and the show has caused great damage to his reputation and his law firm.
He warned PNG media to refrain from using the material as they can be sued in accordance to a provision in the Private Conversation Act.
Mr. Shepphard said the video that was aired does not implicate him as being involved in offshore money laundering.
He questioned why that video was published after 13 months, which he believes is because of controversial court cases he is currently handling.
He said he will be writing to all media organisations in the country to refrain from using the material used in the Dateline show.
Since the program was aired on Tuesday night on SBS, the topic has gone viral on social media.
