The Spring Runway 2016, Miss World Supermodel PNG launched their event at the Lamana Hotel in line with the Melbourne cup day.
The event saw thirteen young ladies take part to become Miss World Supermodel PNG and Miss World Supermodel PNG teen as they vie for the chance to take part in the World Miss Supermodel Pageant in Macau, China.
The contestants for the adult category include: Sheilla Yama, Charleen Nonggorr , Salome Tibola, Shy-Ann Benson, , Alexandra Hohoa, Verna Seeto, Annette Rondeau, Clementine Raka, Sybil Taule. Contestants for the teen category include: Shannon Tarai, Raylene Walter, Ayesha Gideon and Glendah Sanadah.
The winner of the World Supermodel Pageant lands themselves a one year contract with Trump Supermodel in New York, and has the chance of meeting potential agencies and other supermodels.
The runway show had six categories from designers: Anna Amos – AA Design, Jacks of PNG, Betha Saki – Simple Art, Betha Andamali – Bethas Bilum Wear, Linda & Martina Stephan – Ohela Haus and Hazel Navaru – Creative Fashion.
The models were under the leadership of Philma Kelegai, who was very enthusiastic about the spring runway and is looking forward to announcing the winners in the coming weeks.
