Lae City has had three confirmed killings within the last five days that are being investigated by Police.

Lae Metropolitan Superintendent, Ivan Lakatani has confirmed three people were killed in the last five days.

He says detectives have started investigating each case.

The sole proprietor of Morobe Stationaries was found dead inside his house.

The body is believed to have been in the home for at least twenty-four hours.

On 5th January 2015, Lae Metropolitan Superintendent, Ivan Lakatani said investigators are working to establish the point of entry into the well-guarded premises.

Police are still determining the time of the killing, but it’s understood that the killing may have happened anytime between Saturday and sunday.

The dead businessman was discovered by a driver arriving to pick him up for an early morning run to the airport.

The driver alerted the security company guarding the premises and the Police were called in to the scene.

It comes about three days after mother of two Moanna Pisimi, was shot in the back of the head on new years eve, after a car chase.

Her shooting has caused an outcry from Lae residents for an investigation into her killing.

The other killing was a year twelve-bugandi student in Kamkumung who got stabbed after an argument when he took homebrew from another youth.
