Lae’s Bank South Pacific (BSP) customers at the top town branch will no longer stand in a long line waiting hours to do their banking.
The branch has developed a more customer friendly environment with the inclusion of new seats.
The new set-up will also cut down on the waiting time for customers and will help them serve customers effectively. The original set up of this office was very small. It did not have enough space for customers.
The new set up includes the expansion of the lending waiting area with five additional counters.
Branch Manager, Agnes Mark, said this would also cater for more officers as well. The sitting area has also been extended with new seats for customers to sit down while waiting for their turn to be served.
Apart from the new lending waiting area, the old premium space was extended to cater for general enquires, opening of new accounts, collecting of statemen’s, and lodging of applications for damaged or stolen cards.
Area Manager Momase Region, Dennis Lamus, said this new area would also include Western Union and international money transfer desks.
Customers who went to visit the bank this morning were pleased with the new arrangement.
Customers expressed frustration of standing in long lines and waiting many hours. But, said they are now happy with the new changes.
