Kupiano Community College, located a few hours drive away from Port Moresby city and started operating in 2012.

Now, the college has expanded its operations to provide opportunities for fortunate trainees from various trades to expand their knowledge in their specific trades.

Like many vocational centres across PNG, the institution offers trade courses and provides opportunities for the trainees to help expand their knowledge and equip them with new skills.

Yesterday, the institution celebrated World Teachers Day, just like many others around the world.

A combined devotion was made to open the day’s celebration, followed by speeches that were presented by the institution’s head boy and female student prefect.

An educational film titled, ‘Lean on Me’ was played to entertain the teachers and their students. A drama was also performed to entertain the gathered crowd.

When all activities finished, both the teachers and the students had light refreshments and concluded the day.
