PNG Rugby Football League has announced that Team Kumul will be playing a preWorld Cup match against Scotland beforetheWorld Cup.
The match will be played onthe 19th of October in Fetherstone, England.
Team Kumul’s train-on squad will have to impressthe national selectors and coaching staff to book a spot inthe final team.
The attitude and improverment ofthe players from recently held camps has impressedthe coaching staff.
The team will have a final camp for 36 players next month. The players will divide into two squads to play against each ther in Port Moresby.
This will bookthe players a spot inthPM’s XIII match onthe 29th of September at Kalaond Oval in Kokopo.
The finalized squad will be announced for theWorld Cup afterthPM’s XIII.
The selected players will have a week’s rest before returning to camp on Octoberthe 7th. A fundraising dinner will be heldthe following week.
The team departs for the UK on October 14th wherethey will prepare against Scotland before going into camp for the teams opening 2013World Cup match against France.
