The new Jiwaka province concluded its first development forum this week atthe Fatima Parish Hall in Benz.
Jiwaka Governor Dr William Tongamp saysthe only way to get ideas on how to developthe new province is by holding this type of forum.
The forum was attended by all elit’s from Jiwaka including Public Servants and leader ofthe province Governor Tongamp.
The forum was aimed to gaugethe views from locals and those in high positions on how best to steerthe province forward.
It was initiated bythe former Jiwaka Transitional Authority andthe Jiwaka 2050 CharterInc., a Secretariat formed to bring in speakers for this purpose.
Provincial Administrator Tokana Hasavi saidthe forum was crucial as inthe last few weeks,the public service functions were transferred fromthe Western Highlands Provincial Government to Jiwaka.
Mr Tokana saidthe Provincial government inthe coming weeks will put in place Acting Appointments for some ofthe main line positions like Program Managers, Directors just to name a few.
