The Amark Gurias are the 2015 Intercity Cup Champions after they defeated the TNT Simbu Lions at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Saturday.
In what was a physical encounter, the Gurias outclassing the Lions, winning 26 points to 18 to walk off the field victorious in front of a packed crowd.
The Guria’s have been the breeding ground for some of Papua New Guinea’s talent rugby league players in the likes of Israel Eliab and Wartovo Puara who are key players in not only the SP PNG Hunters but the PNG Kumuls as well.
Following the grand final of the intercity cup, and four confederate cups from around the country, a team will be selected and will go into training for the 2015 Prime Ministers XIII against Australia later this month.
