Ialibu Repays Debt to EM TV

By Eric Haurupma – EM TV, Port Moresby

The Ialibu local level government (LLG) in the Southern Highlands province has paid their outstanding debts owed to EM TV for using its transmitter in their area.

Town Mayor Jacob Iki presented a cheque of K101,200 to EM TV in Port Moresby today.

Mr Iki said the K101,200 kina cheque will go towards the outstanding payment for accessing EM TV’s signals.

He said due to constant power surges in the area, the signal has been affected. The new transmitter erected there has been providing clear EM TV signals.

Iki said EM TV’s television services, which include news, sports, Life and educational programs, are important for the people in the area.

“Ialibu Pagia people have been viewing the 6pm news and sporting events like NRL games clearly since last year.

“These programs inform them about current events happening in Papua New Guinea and around the world.”
