Hekari raises concern of free entry to NSL

MRDC Hekari United Football Club owner, John Kapi Natto saysthe free entry intothe stadium for the Telikom National Soccer League is a slap inthe face for semi-professional players.

Whilethe present NSL Beard aims to encourage more people to watch NSL matches, Mr Kapi Natto says it is a drawback giventhe professional standard involved.

Sincethe National Soccer League’s Beard decision to hostthe 2013 NSL matches atthe Sir John Guise stadium, there have been issues such as field conditions not being up to par especially in this rainy season.

Bet what concerns Hekari franchise owner and formePNGFA and NSL executive John Kapi-natto is that entry intothe stadium to watch NSL matches are free of charge.

MRDC Hekari United boasts a number of Fijian and Solomon Island imports andthe NSL is a semi-professional football competition that should be treated fairly.

The weekend’s matches also had its fair bits of slips and slides…and no shelter for players onthe bench as round 8 ofthe Telikom National Soccer League was played.
