Members from the National Capital District Commission and the Tourism Promotion Authority yesterday (12 November, 2018) witnessed the Launch of a new website and brand name called Amazing Port Moresby.
Tourism Promotion Authority Director of Marketing Research and Statistics, Alice Kuaningi who was there to witness the launch, commended the NCD Governor, saying TPA fully supports this campaign.
The Amazing Port Moresby Brand name and website is a campaign to promote the image of the city.
The website, www.amazingportmoresby.com, contains short videos and photos of tourism sites in Port Moresby.
And people can also visit amazing Port Moresby on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Governor Parkop said through the website, tourists can have a sneak peek of the city, its sights, and important landmarks of the city.
TPA Director for Marketing Research, Alice Kuaningi says TPA has been having problem in promoting tourism in PNG and such an initiative is a big step forward.
She assured the NCD Governor that they will work together with the NCDC to further develop the website.
The amazing Port Moresby Campaign will also be extended to schools and learning institution to engage students through drawing competition, essay writing and other interactive engagements.
The campaign will also be extended to communities to take part in the Amazing Community Campaign.
