Eluh: Paraka Files Won’t Be Handed To Vaki

Suspended crime Investigator Thomas Eluh made a bold statement today that investigators will not handover Paul Paraka’s files to Acting Police Commissioner Geoffrey Vaki.

Mr Eluh made this statement after Mr Vaki announced that he will assess the investigation files before passing on to the public prosecutor.

Eluh called on Mr Vaki to respect the court order and not to interfere with the investigation.  A vocal Eluh told EMTV that Acting Police Commissioner Geoffrey Vaki’s attempts to get hold of the files from the Fraud Team won’t succeed for two reasons.

He said if the files were passed to Mr Vaki, it would be in contempt of court as orders were to remain a status quo until a decision is handed down.

Mr Eluh said the Fraud team working on the case are some of the finest investigators of the PNG Royal Police Constabulary and have made major fraud convictions.

Meantime Eluh said the public prosecutor will be handed the files at a later date following court procedures.
