Wanderers Beat Coasters

Coasters U19 Cricket Club took on a strong Badili Wanderers outfit seeking to maintain top spot in the competition in the Port Moresby Cricket Association competition at Colts Cricket ground.

The boys from Badili posted a first innings target of one hundred and sixty four after twenty overs and looked set to be on course for a victory.

A good fight back from Coasters led by Kevau Gasi with thirty five runs looked to steer them back in, only for good fielding from the Wanderers to restrict their runs, with bowler Oala James reaching a good record of  three for twelve runs after four overs, limiting their attack.

In the end it proved too much for Coasters with the wanderers winning the match by forty four runs. The standout performer for the Coasters team was middle order batsman Nuana Nuana with forty runs, extending his good run of individual form.
