The Duke of York has expressed his desire to meet with the young people of Papua New Guinea, ahead of his visit to the country to officially open the 2015 Pacific Games.
Prime Minister Peter O’Neill met with Her Royal Highness during his recent trip to Europe, and gave her a thorough rundown of the issues affecting the youth of PNG.
Prime Minster O’Neill said The Duke of York will be here for a couple of days around the games, and will primarily spend his time attending functions hosted by the government. He did say though that the Duke has expressed interest in meeting many people, particularly youths.
He will be having discussions with stakeholders on issues related to youth and youth development in the country.
This will be Prince Andrew’s second visit to Papua New Guinea; the first being for the opening of the South Pacific Games in 1991.
