Counting for Western Province is set for next Wednesday July 11, according to Provincial Election Manager Sponsor Navi.
Mr Navi says polling for North Fly has been completed while in Middle Fly, five polling teams are yet to complete polling in Bamu and Gogodala LLG’s.
In South Fly, Morehead LLG is yet to complete polling.
Heavy rain has interrupted polling in both Middle and South Fly areas; however, Mr. Navi says with the air support that arrived today from Port Moresby, he is confident polling will be completed by this weekend.
Training for Counting Officials for South Fly will be tomorrow while Middle Fly in Balimo on Monday and North Fly in Kiunga on Tuesday in preparation for counting on Wednesday.
