Learning about the professional of training overseas was also an important part of the growth of the national team.

Taking on quality opposition, allowed Coles 25 player roster, a feel of playing in different positions, as well as understand the level of professionalism required in performing at international standard.

Over the three weeks the side has improved with the team.

Cole is still hoping to organise another tour against clubs closer to home, in a bid to mimic the World Cup playing cycle.

Only 8 weeks remain before Papua New Guinea meets Brazil on November 13, and Cole has said the side is now a different team to the one that faced Japan in May this year.

Also drawing comparisons to other international results, stating also, that while it will be a tall ask, her squad has worked hard and prepared as best they can so far to take on the world’s football powers.
