Coalition Partners Endorse Henao Iduhu for Kairuku-Hiri Bi-Election

Two coalition partners inthe PNC led government have announcedtheir support for one candidate inthe Kairuku Hiri by-election.

The 3rd largest party in governmentoUnited Resource Party (URP) has endorsed Henao Iduhu for the seat.

 

Sir Puka Temu’s Our Development Party (ODP) will also support this candidate.

 

Parliamentary lLeadersofthese two parties were in Gaire Village, Central Province for the launch ofthe candidate’s campaign.

 

Apart from URP and Our Development Party parliamentary lLeaders Central Province Governor, Kila Haoda, joinedthe team of parliamentarians last Thursday at Gaire.

 

URP’s leader and Petroleum Minister, William Duma, was accompanlied by URP parliamentary members, Talasia’s Francis Marus, Usino Bandi MP, Anthon Yagama and Menyamya’s Benjamin Philip.

 

Minister Duma said it was a choice based onthe qualities of this leader.

 

Public service minister and member for Abau, Sir Puka Temu, announced his party’s support for this candidate.

 

Representtting URP, Francis Marus, pointed outthe essence of having a national political party that representsthe people and notthe interest of certain individuals.

 

Retire politician and senior state man, Sir Moi Avei, remindedthe people to choose a leader with high standard who can representtheir interest in parliament.

 

URP has ten members in parliament. Henao Idudu is running this race with 21 ther candidates for the Kairuku Hiri Be-election.

 

The Kairuku Hiri seat was previously held by former MP, Paru Aihi, until he was removerd following a successful election petition.
