Chinese Embassy expresses sorrow

The Chinese Embassy in PNG’saysthe killing of four of its citizens in Port Moresby isthe most serious in 20 years, andthe Chinese community here is still in shock.

The killing which took place on Monday night near Koki market Badili apparently sawthe shop owner, his wife, son and a relative beheaded.

Secretary Cao saidthe victims contribute tPNG’s economy and social development.

He added thatthe Chinese Embassy is responsible to protect life and legal rights for all Chinese working and living in PNG

Deputy Police Commissioner Simon Kauba said extra staff has been assigned to work onthe case.

So far four arrests have been made and suspects are under interrogation. Police suspectthe killing as an inside job by former employees.

The Chinese Embassy expressed deep sorrow tothe loss off innocent lives.
