On the first episode of the season, the Business PNG team travels to Brisbane, Australia, for the 2018 PNG Investment Conference.
The annual conference promoted business and investment opportunities in PNG to the international business community and once again gave Papua New Guinea an opportunity to present its investment credentials to an audience of domestic and international investors.
Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and Australia’s Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourism, and Investment Mark Coulton led the line-up of over 30 experts and business leaders discussing PNG’s investment potential.
In an interview with Business Advantage International’s Publishing Director, Andrew Wilkins, PM O’Neill promised that his government would make better use of the country’s national resources.
This, according to O’Neill, means his government is in renegotiations to get better deals for the country for new LNG projects like Wafi-Golpu, P’nyang, and Papua LNG.
