The Kagamuga Inter-denomination Mothers Association Incorporation are just one of few groups or individuals who work tirelessly and endlessly maintaining cleanliness at the Kagamuga Airport in Mt Hagen.
The group formed in 2012, comprising of volunteers who had a dream to transform the look of Kagamuga Airport through keeping it clean and also attractive.
Team Leader Julie James says an entry port, like the airport in Kagamuga, is the first tourism site for most.
Maria Pulavo is also one of those women. Their slogan is ‘agents of change’, for Kagamuga Airport as an international airport to PNG’s agriculture city, the association will ensure the traveling public or tourists are impressed.
Keeping the airport and terminal area clean plus beautified is what they love.
Mt Hagen is blessed with a world-class terminal and for Julie and Maria, they have already started their routines, cleaning up and beautifying the airport area.
According to National Airport’s Corporation, the new terminal will be opened later this month.
