Air Niugini Pays K20 Million Dividend

Air Niugini Chief Executive Officer, Simon Foo, has attributed the company’s success to the hardworking management team and 2,000 employees.

Mr Foo said this when presenting K20 million to the State through Kumul Consolidated Holdings as dividend.

He said the loyalty of staff has ensured the company persisted through a challenging transitional period.

“Air Niugini has been giving regular dividends to the National Government, We are happy to make the K20m payment.”

The National Government’s efforts in improving airport infrastructure had helped Air Niugini improved its operations.

Additionally, this has enabled the company to deliver a sound profit and a good dividend to its shareholder.

“At the same time, we do not draw much money from the National Government but we ae self-sufficient for many years.  Because of our profit, we need to give back our shareholder,” he said.

Mr Foo thanked the National Government for its strong support.

He said Air Niugini’s board and management are determined in the airlines future growth.
