MANAM STUDENT RECEIVES MOST IMPROVED AWARD IN BIBLE COLLEGE

A Manam student from a Bible College in Western Highlands was awarded the most improved student amongst 19 students graduated who graduated recently.

Peniel Tibong from Manam Island in Bogia District of Madang province got awarded from Servant Leaders Training Institute, a PNG Christian Centre runed college.

Tibong said he is grateful to the institution for giving him the privilege to study and grow. He said the college has helped mold and shaped him into a better person, and he believes it is a place where many young people can find hope and direction.

The institution’s principal, Pastor Thomas Ten, praised Peniel for his transformation and commitment along with other students as they marck the 14th college graduation.

“Everyone is a winner today, and we praise God for all of them,” Ten said.

National Superintendent for the Papua New Guinea Christian Centre, Senior Pastor Michael Wilson, also said the institution is committed to preparing young people for ministry work across the country.

“We are sending them out to go into the field and do ministry work, and then we will assist them and bring them back again for more training,” he said.

Pastor Wilson added that the pathway will help students become more knowledgeable and better prepared to do the work of God in their communities.

Reflecting on his life, Tibong thanked the leaders and staff of the institution for believing in him throw-out his journey of change.

He said the institution, its staff, and the work of God have completely changed him.

He added that the institution does not only teach spiritual lessons but also prepares students for their physical and everyday life. Tibong further encouraged young people who may be struggling with drugs, alcohol, or other challenges not to give up.
