The SP PNG Hunters edged out Central Queensland Capras for the second time of the Intrust Super Cup campaign.

It was a match worth noting for CQ Capras when they took the field with the blessing of Guy Williams in the back row.

A journalist by trade, Williams broke a long standing record of 151 games for the Capras side.ย

Hunters came back from a losing streak from the Devils match in round 13, and fought hard, right to the bone as the match kicked off.

A much-fancied News side crossed the line in the likes of Rhys Williams in the corner, opening the scoreboard.

Hunters hit back 2 minutes after the News side score with a double long pass to set fullback Adex Wera to score under the post.

Willie Minoga scored a second for the Hunters to lead 12-6 at half time.

The Marley Browne Oval was absolutely chock-aโblock on the night while the Hunters fans went into a frenzy as the match unfolded in the second half.ย ย
