The young 45 leaders who attended the Voice Inc. 2016 nation builders’ conference have said that the conference has been an eye opener, and challenge for them, on how to tackle issues in the country.
Samantha Mosoro, a participant, explained that she felt a hunger to go out and find out what the problems were and how they could assist.
Joshua Sailas, another participant, explained that one of the outcomes from their conference was that they wanted to see – an economy that could produce for the population, an economy that was built on strategic assets such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries and the development of the small medium enterprises.
The patrone’s for the Voice Inc., Dame Meg Taylor, applauded the participants for their interest in nation building. She said that the issue in young people today was the fact that most of them had no idea what was contained in the constitution.
The Voice Inc.’s Nation Builder’s conference was sponsored by Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives, Bread for the World, Exxon Mobil PNG, Office of the National Speaker of Parliament, Australian Awards, Lowy Institute for International Policy through its Australia PNG Network, BMobile-Vodafone and the Strategy for Responsible Sustainable Development (StaRs) for PNG.
