CDDA PRIORITIZES ROADS CONNECIVITY, DISPITE INADUQUATE FUNDING

The Chuave District Development Authority (CDDA) is prioritizing road connectivity in the district of Simbu Province to enable social and economic progress.

Chuave MP James Nomane said that CDDA received only K2 million out of an expected K15 million in DSIP for this year which greatly affected the development aspirations of the district.

Despite funding shortfalls Nomane maintained that road accessibility remains the key driver of economic growth and service delivery in the district.

He admitted that connecting feeder roads in the district is very expensive given its complex geographical terrains but CDDA is committed to deliver for the people under difficult circumstances.

“For any real social and economic progress to take place, the 85 percent rural population must be connected by road to growth centres and government services,” Nomane said.

He visited several road projects in his district which are progressing under strict budget as he is determined to complete road projects before the 2027 National General Elections.
