England has fought its way into the top three and Australia is once again in the lead on the progressive ladder.
Winning three of their four matches, the last one being their impressive 68-run victory over South Africa last night, the Brits now pose a threat for India, who’s just ahead of them by 1 win.
It was the combination of Batswomen Tasmin Beaumont and Serah Taylor that led England to a win.
Their record 275-run, second-wicket partnership brought home the impressive 68-run victory over South Africa in a high-scoring match yesterday.
It was the highest ever for England and second best overall in women’s ODIs for any wicket.
This makes it England’s third victory in four matches, while it was South Africa’s first defeat in as many matches to go with one abandoned game against New Zealand.
Meanwhile, South Africa is on the heels of the Brits after losing this match.
In the post-match interview Skipper Dane Van Niekerk said, with more matches coming up, this is a learning curve, for them.
