UNITED SONS RECEIVE BOOST FOR NCD SUBURBAN LEAGUE CAMPAIGN
By Parker Tambua
The United Sons Rugby League Club has received a major boost ahead of the National Capital District (NCD) Suburban League business end of the season, following an official jersey presentation ceremony held in Morata 1.
Senior member of the community Jeffrey Levongo led the handover ceremony, presenting the squad’s brand-new custom playing kits to the United Sons team manager and captain, who accepted the uniforms on behalf of the club. The high-quality kits were ordered directly from Fiji to equip the players for their ongoing campaign.
Addressing the team during the presentation, Levongo highlighted the broader community value of sports, emphasizing rugby league as a vital instrument for instilling discipline, building character, and offering constructive pathways for local settlement youth.
The event was also witnessed by former SP PNG Hunters forward Junior Talin, whose presence added special significance and served as a direct source of motivation for the players as they prepare for the high-stakes matches ahead.
With upgraded gear and strong backing from local community leaders, United Sons are set to make a strong push in the NCD Suburban League competition, aiming for success both on the field and within the community.
