St. John's Hospital: 2 Origin Night Casualties
Origin-related casualties are now becoming a regular occurrence at clinics and hospitals around the country.
In the Nationโs Capital, St Johnโs Hospital in Gerehu reported 2 casualties in the morning after Origin game 2.

An argument, involving a man believed to be from the Highlands region, occurred after the origin match.

The manโs argument led to a physical confrontation which eventually attracted bystanders and opportunists to take matters into their own hands, leaving the man with severe wounds.

The second attack involved a young man in his early 20โs from Gerehu, who was on his way home after the Origin match when he was attacked by thieves.

His resistance to the encounter left him with a knife wound to his chest.

He has been referred to the Port Moresby General Hospital to stabilize his condition and further treatment.
