Port Moresby Stop and Shop Vipers were crowned Kings of Digicel Cup after defeating Goroka Bentangor Lahanis 36- 14 at Lloyd Robson Oval in Port Moresby on Sunday.
Vipers led inthe opening minutes through winger Elijah Riyong.
Lahanis bounced back with a converted try to draw 6 all. Lahanis managed a try while Vipers bagged two tries to lead 16-10 at half- time.
Vipers maintained lead inthe second half, clinching four tries including one fromthe Skipper Larsen Marabe.
Lahanis with crowd advantage fought hard but succumbed to Vipers 14- 36 at full time.
Captain Larsen Marabe was credited man ofthe match while Prime Minister Peter O’Neill presentedthe Cup tothe Vipers.
