Two men appeared today for mention before Senior Magistrate Cosmas Bidar at the Waigani Committal Court.
One was charged with stealing over K6 million of public funds, while the other was charged with stealing over K400,000 from his own employer.
Anton Hombuhanje from East Sepik was charged with three counts: stealing, money laundering and conspiracy to defraud.
On three different occasions in 2015, he was alleged to have committed the crimes.
Blaze Mara, from West New Britain, was charged with 42 counts of stealing, money laundering, misappropriation, forgery and uttering.
He is alleged to have stolen over K400,000 from his employer, Population Service International, back in 2015.
The two will again appear in court in May 10.
