A bright idea for Port Moresby South MPJustin Tkatchenko.
He has decided to brighten up settlements in his electorate through solar energy.
The project is being trialed in at least six mile settlements in Port Moresby and will be rolled out to other areas later.
The solar energy system comes with 4 light bulbs, a battery pack and a solar panel.
An electrician says the system can last for ten years but it depends on the care of owner.
