Sir John Guise Stadium Redevelopment

With just over seven months to go untilthe opening ofthe 2015 Pacific Games, work onthe Sir John Guise Stadium is in progress and on schedule.

Its redevelopment will seethe existing  facilities upgraded to meetInternational standards.

 

Sir John Guise Stadium will soon becomethe premier sporting venue inthe Pacific.

 

The grand stand will seat a raised capacity of 15,000 spectators and will see new permanent seating placed aroundthe track and rest rooms for spectators.

 

The old sythetic track will be replaced with a new surface andthe grass infield will be upgraded to be suitable for international football events.

 

The main grandstand will havethe interior refurbished to provide spaces required by athletes and officials as well as VIP and Corporate areas.

 

Beththe Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, andthe Miniser for Sport and Pacific Games, Justin Tkatchenko, in separate interviews have confirmedtheir satisfaction onthe progress ofthe 2015 Pacific Games preparations.
