Kemabolo Primary School is located in the Rigo District of Central Province. The school is no different to schools throughout the country, but what makes it special, is the determination by the surrounding community that saw through the completion of vital school infrastructure, including a new library and computer laboratory.
Funding came from Strongim Pipol Strongim Nesen, an initiative of the Australian Government working in partnership with the PNG Government to deliver grants and capacity building services to organisations. It aims to promote gender equality and to improve access to health, education and disability service.
Representative Sabi Pati from the Strongim Pipol Strongim Nesen initiative said funding is from the people and government of Australia, provided through SPSN’s community development grants scheme. Pati told the people that when donors assist they have expectations that the project will be delivered on time. Central Provincial
Administrator, Gei Raga, encouraged the students of Kemabolo Primary school to utilise the opportunity as the world was now at their fingertips.
