Mr Polye called on leaders to move away from self-interest, and serve people with divine intervention. He says Easter must be celebrated with total sacrifice, for a better PNG.
Polye says, it’s a time of commemorating the sacrifice God has for every human soul. Mr Polye said PNG is no different to other nations in the world with corrupt practices visible, he called on leaders, businessman and individuals to be cheerful this Easter.
“Every Easter should not be the only time leaders come before God, but a time of sacrifice for the great things God can do for the people of this country”, he added. The Opposition leader called for a united Papua New Guinea to move forward and see things from a Christianity level.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Peter O’Neill in his Easter Message said PNG can now move on with a similar triumph in the Easter Story. Mr O’Neill said though the first Easter occurred two thousand years ago, the message is alive and well in Papua New Guinea today.
O’Neill says, the government will work with churches and continue to bring services to the people of this nation.
