Lae City Dwellers to Meet Madang FC in NSL Encounter

By Sylvester Gawi – EM TV, Lae

Lae City Dwellers are confident on taking on Madang FC in round four of the Telikom National Soccer in Madang this Saturday.

Coming from a bye last weekend, the Lae boys are looking at making the most out of this game in Madang.

The Madang side is also looking to secure a win.

There are few things that these two teams have in common, a new crop of young players led by reputable senior players.

Lae city dwellers started off their campaign with a draw against Pom FC and a three-nil loss to Hekari in round two. A bye last weekend has given them time to work on areas of improvement.

For the Madang side, they started off well with draws against Admiralty FC and Pom FC.

Both sides remain confident and will be looking at winning this game.

Morobe and Madang’s soccer history goes back for many years. Both provinces have produced some of Papua New Guinea’s finest soccer players.

This game is expected to bring down the whole Madang town to the Laiwaden oval as the games kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.

Lae City Dwellers are no strangers, as some of its players are from Madang and they have been playing together for the last couple of years.

However, for the Madang side, they will be on a mission, and that is to win this game in front of the home crowd.

In Port Moresby, Champions Hekari United will take on Admiralty FC and Pom FC will play Oro FC.

Besta FC will be on bye this weekend.
