In Preparation for the World Kickboxing Federation Welter Weight World K-1 Rule title fight in July, Promotion Powerhouse launched its campaign today in Port Moresby.
The event is a milestone for the kickboxing fans and fraternity in the country.
Powerhouse Promotions’ Marketing and Promotions Manager, William Pena, Launched the World Kickboxing Federation Welter Weight World Title K-1 Rule title fight today.
In partnership with the Tru Warrior gym, all 10 kickboxers including Rickson ‘ The Powerhouse’ Yamo and Lee ‘The Flash”’ Garap, have been using the gym facilities for the past month. Head Trainer, Tala Kami, has also been helping the fighters in their training regimes, and hopes to continue the partnership long-term.
The title fight, scheduled to be held on the 27th of July in Port Moresby, has attracted a lot of sponsors to fund the event. Also present was veteran, Mark Sondo, who is also in training, to make his comeback to the kickboxing scene come July.
The Tru Warrioir Gym located in Gordons, is also open to the General Public, and hopes that the Gym, in Partnership with the Kickboxing Fraternity in Port Moresby, will attract more females to take up the discipline of Kickboxing.
