Post PNG and the Royal PNG Constabulary have teamed up, donating K11,000 worth of Trukai Fun Run T-shirts.
The presentation of the T-Shirts was made with Police Chief Superintendent, Johannes Yapi, and Amos Tepi, Chief Operating Officer of Post PNG.
Tepi says the company was taking its social obligations more seriously after participating in the Trukai Fun Run bids late last year and purchasing just over a thousand T-shirts.
The shirts were bought for the Royal PNG Constabulary whose new recruits at the Bomana Police College will take part in the run, scheduled for 5 July, the day after the opening ceremony of the Pacific Games.
The company has thus far supported the RPNGC for the third year running, and hopes to maintain that relationship in coming years.
Post PNG’s relationship with the police extends beyond just the fun run event as well.
The police force has made mention on previous occasions that they wish to maintain a peaceful and friendly feel for visitors coming to Port Moresby for the Pacific Games, and have been working closely with members of the PNG Defence Force as well, to ensure operations run smoothly.
