Hunters First Trial Match to be in Cairns

SP PNG Hunters will be leaving for Cairns this Saturday for their first trial game against the Northern Pride, slated for Sunday February 9th.

This will test the boys out on how their preparations have been so far, going toward the Queensland Cup Game in March.

All 22 players in camp are looking forward to their first hit-out to get that first knock out of the system.

The players will all get a run, as the match will be played in quarters. They will play all different positions and combinations to show that they want that position, so the onus will be on the players to prove themselves.

The boys are all looking sharp at training, strength and fitness has picked up in the eight weeks, so it will be interesting to see how they perform.

The Hunters will remain in Cairns until Wednesday, when they head to Rockhampton for their second trial against Central Queensland Capras on the 15th Of February.
