The kickboxing fraternity in Port Moresby launch the Welter Weight World Title’s campaign this week. The event will feature Rickson ‘The Powerhouse’ Yamo, Lee ‘The Flash’ Garap and some of our prominent kick-boxers in the country.
Former Heavy-Weight Champion Mark Sondo also took the opportunity to announce that he is currently in training to make his comeback on the kickboxing scene.
In Rugby Union, we caught up with the young guns Emmanuel Guise, Stanis Susuve and Arthur Clement of the PNG Pukpuks, and their preparations in camp under Coach Fereti Verebula.
All three young men have come from a respectful sporting lineage and have taken their selection with great stride.
The NSL’s double-header in Port Moresby saw Hekari seal another win for round 2 against Eastern Stars. Oro FC also claimed a win over Admiralty and Eastern Stars FC; their recent sponsorship from Wellness Lodge and community programs will be conducted monthly throughout the year.
Also, FC Port Moresby concludes their Community Development Program at the Korobosea International School in Port Moresby.
