Hekari Out

It was a disappointing loss tothe 2010 O-League Champions Hekari when host Vanuatu Amicale defeatedthem two goals to nil.

Hekari now misses out onthe top ofthe table clash. It will meet host Solomon Warriors this weekend before heading back home.

Armicale did not manage to findthe net with as much regularity at Port Vila Stadium against Hekari, but a 38th minute Joses Nawo effort and a header from a team mate made it into Hekari’s goal mouth.

Armicale coach Richard Iwai saidthey’re excited withthe win and knowthey’re inthe semifinals. They aim to play smart to make it tothe topthe group.

Hekari’s Coach Jerry Allen was disappointed as this wasthe end of competition for them. He said,they’ve played well butthe team missed a lot of chances to score.

They face Solomon Warriors on Saturday before returning home.

Meantime,the OFC Championships League continues with Fiji Be travelling to Vanuatu to face Armicale for the top spot clash.In Group Be Auckland will host Waitakere on Sunday and Mont- Dore faces a tough-looking trip to Dragon for the last battle next Tuesday.
