“NA MAINTAINS SOLIDARITY” – Bridgette Komatep

Leader of National Alliance Party Patrick Pruaitch has reaffirmed the party’s loyalty to the O’Neill-Dion coalition government.

Mr. Pruaitch said inference to the contrary did not reflect NA’s commitment as a solid partner of the government under Prime Minister Peter O’Neill.

He said this to clarify public statements by founding party member Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare and former Attorney General and Justice Minister Kerenga Kua, who called for the PM to step down.

Mr. Pruaitch said Sir Michael has spoken to him and stated that the overseas media may have misconstrued his experiences as former PM.

He said NA remains intact within the coalition government in respect to the Alotau Accord and will continue to remain loyal to the O’Neill-Dion government.
