Gore Confident to Change Higher Education in Country

Newly appointed Minister for Higher Education, Delilah Gore, has vowed to change Higher Education in the country.

She told EMTV News in an exclusive interview today that resolving the UNITECH Saga will be her top priority.

She is humbled by her appointment to the new role, and is ready to take on the challenge.

Three days after her swearing in as the new Higher Education Minister, Delilah Gore is confident to deliver.

Though it is too early to give details of her plans, she says the University of Technology issue will be among her key priorities.

She is fully aware of the issue, and will meet with bureaucrats within her ministry to put an end to the matter.

Higher Education is a key institution that has become stagnant over the years.

And she hopes to partner with institutions abroad to alleviate the current status of higher education in the country.

But all this can only happen through cooperation and team work, she said.

In the meantime, the Minister is expected to take office sometime next week after the official hand over take over with her predecessor, Ijivitari member, David Arore.
