FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup: USA Ready for New Zealand

USA and France drew in their Group C match at the PNG Football Stadium yesterday.

USA captain Mallory Pugh says they have a lot to work on before their next match against New Zealand.

Since USA’s arrival in Port Moresby, the heat has been unbearable for the girls. Team USA has made seven U20 World Cup appearances, and have won three.

They faced tough opponents France in their opening Group C match, where both teams had fewer shots on goal, and  were playing more defensively then attack.

USA Captain, Mallory Pugh, said she was quite impressed with the team’s performance, despite the draw.

Having being more defensive against France, USA, will be looking to play more attacking in their match against New Zealand tomorrow.

The match will be played at the PNG Football Stadium at 7pm.
