Cricket PNG Trains More Umpires and Coaches

CrickePNG is looking at training more umpires and coaches in umpiring and coaching any CrickePNG’sanctioned tournaments inthe country.

Currently CrickePNG has 500 umpires and it’s looking to increasingthe amount to cater for growing interest of cricketers, especially youngsters.

WaterPNG’sees this as an integral part of bringing cricket tothe next level and renewed its partnership with sixty thousand kina.

“On behalf of CrickePNG we are most honored for WaterPNG to come on board to sponsor,” said Greg Campbell, CrickePNG General Manager.

“As you know, the game cannot run without officials who give uptheir time during weekends and even after working hours to come for training and practices,” he said.

“This sponsorship gives CrickePNGthe scope to go nationally and train umpires and coaches, and prepares us for the 2015 Pacific Games,” said Greg.
