Police investigating the death of Jenelyn Kennedy are yet to complete investigations and compile court documents on the Wilful Murder charge laid against Kennedy’s partner Bhosip Kaiwi.
Kaiwi appeared for his second mention before the Wagaini Committal Court this morning and was advised investigation files were not completed.
The investigation into the torture and brutal killing of 20-year-old Kennedy begun some five weeks ago when Kaiwi was initially charged for Wilful Murder.
It has been four weeks since Kaiwi first appeared in court and has been remanded in the custody of the Correctional Service.
With a month gone, it is a practice in the PNG Court system that the Defense lawyers can apply for the case to be struck out if three months have lapsed and police fail to complete police Hand-up Brief.
Kaiwi’s next mention will be on the 8th of September.
