By Jeremy Mogi EM TV Sports, Port Moresby

Day two of the Southern Regional Leg of the BESTA Cup and pre tournament favourites Port Moresby Soccer Association and the NCD PSSA continued their fine form.

PMSA maintained their unbeaten record with three wins in a row, while nearest rivals NCD PSSA had a crushing victory over Higaturu.

PMSA, as expected, have been consistent with ten points gained from four matches that also included a draw against Kaupa 2.

The association has fielded two teams in both men’s pools and both look set to cruise to the semi finals.

Kaupa2 for that matter, have been in scintillating form, scoring 14 goals in only three matches including a 7-1 victory over Hekari.

The NCD PSSA have also been strong; Coach, Erickson Komeng, has done well and his charges have been performing to expectation with three wins, scoring high alos In the women’s division, again few surprises… both NCD PSSA and PMSA still the favourites.

They do have another contender to deal with in the likes of Tabubil who opened their campaign with a six nil victory.

So far, after two days, the tournament is still largely open, and unless things change…there may be few surprises by the end of the tournament.
